Adult Facilities

Tablet and Phone Updates:

  • Phone, video visits and tablet services down at Stanley Correctional:

The Department of Corrections (DOC) and its telecommunications provider, ICSolutions (ICS), are working closely with a crew from Lumen to restore phone, video visitation and tablet services to persons in our care at Stanley Correctional Institution.

Technicians from Lumen, a telecommunications company serving the Stanley area, are not currently able to estimate when services will be restored. In an emergency, individuals should contact the institution directly at 715-644-2960. ICS will refund the scheduled video visits not occurring as a result of this outage.

  • Intermittent Phone Outages Improved:

For the past couple of months, the residents at all DOC facilities have experienced sporadic phone service and outages especially during high peak usage times. See letter from ICS

This change in service was a direct result from the significant increase in call volume as a result of adding phone calling feature to the new tablets. With this change, residents will have more opportunities to contact friends and family.

Family and friends can reach out to ICSolutions regarding service concerns by contacting their customer service at: 888-506-8407 or visit https://icsolutions.com/FriendsFamilyHome/Support/ContactUs.html

In case of emergencies, family members should always contact the institution. Contact information for all adult institutions can be found below under each facility tab.

  • In June 2025, ICS made a significant investment and improvements to their hardware and software. Since this change, the call failure and dropped calls has greatly improved. Calls are now able to be placed during peak usage times with more reliability.

  • Tablet Services Update:

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC) is partnering with ICSolutions to provide tablet services to persons in our care. DOC has been rolling out the ICS tablets since March 2024. During this roll-out some challenges were encountered which slowed the implementation schedule. The remaining sites to transition to the ICS tablets are the following: Fox Lake Correctional Institution (FLCI), Racine Correctional Institution (RCI), Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution, Dodge Correctional Institution, Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility, Taycheedah Correctional Institution, Robert E. Ellsworth Correctional Center, Sturtevant Transitional Facility, Milwaukee Women's Correctional Center. WI DOC goal is to add FLCI and RCI in the next 30 days.
