VOICE is a free telephone and online service for enrolled victims, survivors, and witnesses of crime that provides information and notifications about individuals under the custody or supervision of the Department of Corrections, including:

  • Offenders incarcerated in the Wisconsin Prison System
  • Offenders on supervision in the community
  • Individuals on Wisconsin’s Sex Offender Registry

VOICE is also available to victims of individuals who are civilly committed to the custody or supervision of the Department of Health Services and have been found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect or have been committed under Chapter 980 (sexually violent person).

Victims enrolled with the Office of Victim Services and Programs (OVSP) can choose to receive various notifications about offender status, described on the VOICE Notification List. OVSP enrollees can access offender information online at VOICE or by calling the automated VOICE phone line at 1-800-398-2403.
