Reentry Unit

Ray Woodruff, Reentry Director

The Reentry Unit's ultimate goal is crime reduction, fewer victims, reduced state and local criminal justice costs, and most importantly, safer families and communities.

More than 95% of Persons in our Care (PIOC) will return to their communities. The public is best served if those in our care are not only held accountable for their actions, but also have the opportunity to become law abiding and successful members of society. Reentry promotes success for PIOC from admission through discharge through the application of evidence-based practices.

The Reentry Unit, organizationally situated within the Office of the Secretary, is charged with the administration of Appropriation 112 (Becky Young) funds, and provides agency-wide technical assistance and support to cross-divisional partners within and throughout the DOC.
