Grant Letters of Support

The Wisconsin DOC appreciates the strong partnerships we share with community organizations across the state. These partnerships are essential in advancing programs and services that support safer communities and successful client outcomes.

Community partners seeking a letter of support from the DOC to accompany a grant application are encouraged to review our guidance document for details regarding eligibility , timelines, and submission instructions.

Training

The Wisconsin DOC partners with University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute (UCCI) to provide training in evidence-based practices.  Through this collaboration, DOC staff and community partners have opportunities to access high-quality training and resources designed to support effective programming, reentry services, and positive outcomes for justice-involved individuals.

We value the role of our community partners in this work. If your organization is interested in learning more about training opportunities or program implementation support available through this partnership, please contact us at DOCReentry@wisconsin.gov.

Contracting with DOC
The Wisconsin DOC partners with community organizations and service providers to deliver programs and supports that help justice-involved individuals succeed. We contract with a wide variety of community partners for services such as housing, education, employment readiness, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and other evidence-based programming.

If your organization is interested in contracting with DOC, here are a few steps to get started:
    • Learn about Opportunities - DOC posts opportunities for program delivery and services through State of Wisconsin eSupplier.
    • Become a Registered Vendor - Organizations must be set up as a vendor with the State of Wisconsin to be eligible for contracting.
    • Review DOC Guidance - The DOC provides resources to help potential vendors understand expectations, processes, and best practices.

Resources for Friends and Families

Wisconsin Department of Corrections understands incarceration can be difficult for the persons in our care (PIOC), their friends and their family members. Support is an important part of rehabilitation, and we hope the information shared on the Friends & Family Site will help loved ones maintain strong relationships with individuals throughout incarceration.
