Employee Services Program (ESP)

During this time of uncertainty and growing concern, employees may experience additional stress about their own well-being or the well-being of their family, colleagues, clients, community and other loved ones. The Employee Services Program offers Department of Corrections employees several great resources that support your overall health and resilience in work and life. E​mployee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Employee Assistance Program provides state employees and their families experiencing personal and work-related issues with free assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ​These comprehensive, confidential services include counseling, financial consultation, legal consultation and so much more. Counseling can be provided via telephone, face-to-face and in some cases teleconference for the topics of: stress, depression and personal problems, balancing work and personal needs, family and relationship concerns, alcohol or drug dependency, disaster and pandemic resources and workplace conflicts. For more information or to access benefits, visit the EAP (accessible via the ESP page on myDOC) ​to speak with a counselor and be connected with services.​​

On March 30, Department of Administration Secretary Joel Brennan announced the adoption of several new federal leave provisions contained in the recently enacted Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) to help provide some relief to employees who may be personally impacted by COVID-19. These new leave provisions are in addition to the state Emergency Administrative Leave program previously announced.
