Career Spotlight: Probation and Parole Agents

Striving to make a difference in the lives of others and protect the community - that is what our Probation and Parole Agents do every day.

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Agents are integral to the success of offenders on court-ordered supervision.  Our Probation and Parole Agents protect the public by assessing and preparing case plans for offenders and fostering law abiding behavior and positive community participation.

Probation and Parole Agents assume many roles, including mentor, coach, role model, and counselor.  In addition to their responsibilities to their offenders, Probation and Parole Agents prepare reports and case records, conduct investigations, and partner with their local communities to foster effective and cooperative working relationships.
