You have your oversight committee, you have your funding, and you have a commitment to move forward. Now the question is… How?
We started planning for the WI DOC program in April 2015 but did not provide our first treatment until a year later. During that year, we researched programs in other states, spent time developing our internal resources, sought out external resources who could assist us, fostered partnerships in the community, and educated ourselves about opioids and the opioid epidemic.
In this section, we will walk through the steps we took to build our model, our decision making process, what performance metrics we measure, and how we fully implemented.
