Sporadic Phone and Messaging Outages:

Persons in our care have been experiencing sporadic phone and messaging service outages recently. The outages have for the most part impacted sites that have transitioned to the new electronic tablets. At times, the impact is not just specific to WI DOC and also impacts ICS correctional customers in other states.

The Department of Corrections’ (DOC’s) service provider, ICSolutions, is aware of these problems and has already taken steps to improve reliability. Additional improvements to the network are being developed. WI DOC partners with ICS on a regular basis and advocates for improvements and reliability.

In case of emergency, family members should contact the institution directly as business phone lines are generally not impacted. Contact information for all adult institutions can be found below.

Tablet Services Update:

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC) is partnering with ICSolutions to provide tablet services to persons in our care. Notice of Call Scam Targeting Families:

A recent scam targeting the friends and families of persons in our care (PIOCs) is asking for payment in order to participate in a program that allows the PIOC to convert the remainder of their sentence to home confinement.
